ZPHS Ramaram is one of last targets for current educational year. After completing CG event at ZPHS Indupriyal, I went to ZPHS Ramaram at 12:30 PM. Once I reached the school, I explained about the event and our group to the HM and the teachers. Since I reached early, it became an advantage the teachers to call students early after lunch.
Students were present in the class by 1:45 PM, and I did start the event after a small introduction to students about our group and session by the HM. It seems most of the student have not yet decided about their goal and higher education and they are not aware of higher education much. Hence I decided to take more time than usual to spend more time on counseling. I started the session by inquiring their opinion towards higher education and goal and then tried to help them in setting up their own goals. Then I explained about all higher education details, various available options, scholarships and importance of education. Even students were also listened to me with much interest.
Since I spent more time on counseling them, and strength less compared to other schools, It was became a kind of one to one discussion. Every one raised their queries and took advise and required information. Students have a mindset that 'NO ONE CAN GET A GOVT JOB WITH OUT BRIBE'. I had to struggle to explain and give examples of well settled friends of mine to inspire them. Finally they got a hope that they can also get something if they prepare properly. I did also explained about help line and asked them to reach when ever is required. Finally distributed career charts to each student, given 5 'SAMACHARA DEEPIKA' booklets to teachers to use as library booklet and left for the day.
