1.       What is BSG?
Born to Serve Group – A group of Voluntary youngsters who have taken up to drive home a point in being helpful to the society.
This group is formed and decided to create awareness in education among the society and teach them how it would be helpful in different ways. The group took up activities which would teach the importance of education, create awareness among the children and their parents and what all the opportunities available at all the points of education

2.       Why to join BSG?
One can join BSG if they like to take an oath along with us -"One passion, Rise of a great nation..." with below mentioned beliefs:
  1. Voluntarily passionate and want to serve in shaping a better society
  2. To share importance of education to the dejected and unaware students  and let them know how education can transform their lives
  3. Make people Self sustaining, self motivated and establish the seed of hierarchical Service in the society
  4. Personal satisfaction by serving brotherhood
  5. By being engaged in the group your social networking, communication and other skill set improves
  6. If you want to preach, you got to follow -by doing so knowingly or unknowingly you tend to be getting into good practices
3.       What way BSG serve the society?
We conduct some of the customized programs like Goal Setting workshops, Career Guidance and Mentorship along with Scholarship program at our established chapters which are designed in such a manner to meet the student’s requirement in many modes. The below are the 3 different types of centre’s we establish by identifying the need.
  1.  Student Knowledge Centre’s
  2. Village knowledge centre’s
  3. Technical Societies
The Main objective of BSG is to bring awareness in education and opportunities to the students from Government or Private organizations where there is a real need exist. We also provide mentorship to students till they settle down in their career and in conjunction will be providing meritorious scholarship for poor students.

4.       What areas BSG Focuses?
We mainly focus on below categories by providing Career Guidance on higher education,Mentorship Program and also to bring awareness regarding Scholarship Opportunities(internal/external) for eligible students.
  1. School children – who are meritorious possessing passion to excel but financially distressed
  2.  Intermediate college students from rural areas by Conducting  Career guidance
  3.  Engineering Students studying in  rural engineering colleges  – Technical society
  4. Village knowledge Libraries – to establish a library in a village which can help everyone to  learn
5.       What are the different events and activities BSG takes up?
The below  are the major events we conduct in all our established chapters 
  1. BSG-Mentorship program
  2. BSG-Scholarship program
  3. BSG-Career guidance program
  4. Counseling to Parents in understanding the importance of higher education to their children(If Needed)
6.       Who are BSG beneficiaries?
We generally aim to benefit  students in the field of education from 7th to undergraduate students who are eager to learn and become self sustaining and self motivated and looking to contribute back to the society.

7.       What is BSG Mentorship Program?
Mentorship Program: This is a noble idea where few selected students will be kept under keen supervision and in interaction by assigning mentors and help them to improve in their education/motivation/personal levels. Students will be called as Mentee and they will be assigned to a Mentor. Each Mentor is responsible for his/her mentee’s performance both academic and personal growth.

 8.       In what way Village knowledge Library can be helpful in villages?
In villages the drop out percentage from gov’t schools is very high. They stop studies when they just learned how to read and write, as they think it is sufficient to sustain their life.
Village knowledge library is one where news papers / weekly magazines/ motivational books are sponsored so that they can get motivated, when they read books/papers to continue their studies

9.       What is BSG scholarship program?
This is to be offered to monetarily help and guide the meritorious, socially committed / responsible but financially distressed students every year for pursuing (10+2) or any equivalent like polytechnic courses,etc..

Though we see lot of scholarships in internet to map needy students, It is seen that the eligibility for 10th students is very less  with national level competition to get selected.

To solve this problem we come up with a program called BSG scholarship program to provide monetary benefits to needy/poor students selected on merit basis.

A test will be conducted with questionnaire on all subjects in 10th around Dec/Jan of every academic year. Students who are through this test and interview is selected for two types of scholarship.

  1. Tution fee for intermediate 1st year up to 10,000/-  for 15  Students.
  2. Sponsoring books for intermediate up to 5,000/- for 20 students.
10.   What way people can help BSG in reaching its goals?
We expect people if they want to join us to meet the objectives of our organization. There are several ways one can help BSG to achieve its goals.
  1. Marketing: Spreading the activities of our group which will enable us to reach many
  2. Active Participation: Volunteering, Providing some text books/ material, participating in the events, preparing material /ppts. Giving motivation/ personality improvements programs
  3. Funding: By making some useful donations for the events mentioned and offering a scholarship to a poor and meritorious student.
