The BSG volunteers Madhu and Sathish G have reached ZPHS Begumpet school [Medak district] at 2 PM as per the plan. The head master of the school was in contact with the volunteers. This school is the new adoption from BSG this year.
As per the information from volunteers, the school teachers were searching for a private institute or group which can give career guidance to their students as per the teachers discussion and idea during their lunch few days back. Fortunately the BSG volunteers called the school head master and fixed the event on Sept 21st afternoon. And the teachers were informed about the event on that day itself by HM. The teachers were very exited to receive the volunteers as they were searching for a group who can give career guidance to their students.
The head master was not present as he was busy with some official work. When volunteers reached the school, the teachers have welcomed them. And the volunteers have explained about the program to teachers and the teachers have shown very interested to listen to volunteers. And they were very happy to see such volunteers. Every teacher have come forward to make arrangements with stage, sound system and mikes. With in 15 minutes arrangements were done. The 9th and 10th class students were invited to attend the event. The total number of students were around 150.
The in-charge [in place of HM] have started the event by introducing the volunteers and by explaining his view about the event. The event has started at 2:30 PM. The students were very attentive towards the guidance given by volunteers. As per the plan the guidance has been given with few entertaining activities such that the students will not get bored or sleep.
The volunteers have started giving guidance after distributing the CG booklets. All the options that the students can opt after 10th & 12th have been explained. A detailed guidance has been given to students on how to choose their career path. The program came to an end at 4:45 PM. Then the volunteers have explained scholarship strategy from BSG and the available scholarships out side, then closed the event.
After the event a small chit chat happened about the program and BSG group. The teacher were very happy to see such group and they encouraged the volunteers and provided their opinions. Then the volunteers have received a warm farewell from the school.
