Gajwel chapter scholarship event 2013-14 in SAKSHI news

Scholarship test @Gajwel chapter

We planned to conduct scholarship test on 22nd March at Laxman Gardens, Gajwel. Test was planned to schedule from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM. The students were invited to present by 10 AM. Planned a half an hour counseling session by providing career guidance material first before starting test. And we informed the following schools for the test.

We informed to send only five students of their choice from each school per medium (EM & TM). Our plan is to give at least one scholarship to each school. On the day of test, except ZPHS BEJGAMA, ZPHS RIMMANAGUDA, ZPBHS GAJWEL, ZPGHS GAJWEL, ZPBHS PRAGNAPUR, all other school students have participated. Total 51 students appeared for the test. 

As per the plan, we conducted half an hour counseling session for students then started the test. After the test, we distributed career chart and higher education option information sheet to each student. Then by receiving opinions from visited teachers, closed the event. Results will be announced soon.

Scholarship test @Vikarabad chapter

We have successfully completed the Scholarship test in "Dharma Vidya Layam High School - Vikarabad" on March 15 - 2014, about 36 students took part in the exam. Later on the question paper was discussed with students.

The below are the potential students after correction of the papers, of whom we will consider there 10th class marks, discuss with School management and then take a call as which students are best eligible for Scholarship.

Scholarship test @Patancheru chapter

BSG Scholarship Test 2013-14 was Successfully completed at the Patancheru ZPHS on 08.03.2014.

Both the English and Telugu Medium students attended the event. School Headmaster Narsimulu sir,Volunteer Anil Kumar from Vikarabad Participated in this event.

BSG-GC-Y2014-CGE-06-DT15FEB: ZPHS Waddepally, Daulathabad Mandal, Medak District

From BSG Gajwel Chapter, we planned career guidance event in three schools on Feb 15th. While I went to conduct the event in ZPHS Indupriyal, and ZPHS Ramaram. Madhusudan T. and Srikanth went to ZPHS Waddepally. Since they missed contact number of the HM, they could not inform the HM prior. Since we already spoke to the HM that we would be visiting a day long back, Madhu & Srikath reached the school by 11 PM directly. They received warm welcome from the HM and the teachers. Since we already given details about event and group, teachers have not taken much time in inquiring about details, and have arranged the class by 11:30 AM. Once event has started with small introduction, Madhu and Srikanth have covered the details by explaining the career chart and the information in the 'SAMACHARA DEEPIKA'. After completing the event they distributed the career charts to students and handed over 3 'SAMACHARA DEEPIKA' booklets to the teachers. This is the last CG event for current educational year from BSG Gajwel chapter.

BSG-GC-Y2014-CGE-05-DT15FEB: ZPHS Ramaram, Daulathabad Mandal, Medak District

 ZPHS Ramaram is one of last targets for current educational year. After completing CG event at ZPHS Indupriyal, I went to ZPHS Ramaram at 12:30 PM. Once I reached the school, I explained about the event and our group to the HM and the teachers. Since I reached early, it became an advantage the teachers to call students early after lunch.

 Students were present in the class by 1:45 PM, and I did start the event after a small introduction to students about our group and session by the HM. It seems most of the student have not yet decided about their goal and higher education and they are not aware of higher education much. Hence I decided to take more time than usual to spend more time on counseling. I started the session by inquiring their opinion towards higher education and goal and then tried to help them in setting up their own goals. Then I explained about all higher education details, various available options, scholarships and importance of education. Even students were also listened to me with much interest.

Since I spent more time on counseling them, and strength less compared to other schools, It was became a kind of one to one discussion. Every one raised their queries and took advise and required information. Students have a mindset that 'NO ONE CAN GET A GOVT JOB WITH OUT BRIBE'. I had to struggle to explain and give examples of well settled friends of mine to inspire them. Finally they got a hope that they can also get something if they prepare properly. I did also explained about help line and asked them to reach when ever is required. Finally distributed career charts to each student, given 5 'SAMACHARA DEEPIKA' booklets to teachers to use as library booklet and left for the day.

BSG-GC-Y2014-CGE-04-DT15FEB: ZPHS Indupriyal, Daulathabad Mandal, Medak District

 BSG Gajwel chapter target is to reach as many schools as possible in another mandals apart from Gajwel mandal. After Gajwel mandal, the target is to cover Daulathabad mandal schools. As part of this initiative BSG reached ZPHS Indupriyal, Daulathabad mandal

 on 15th Feb Saturday morning 10 AM as per the information has been given to the head master of the school. After reaching the school, the volunteer has explained the details of the NGO and the event. The head master was very happy to see such an NGO and he liked the material very much.

 The head master has arranged the class for the session by introducing the intention behind the event. After handing over to the volunteer, the event and a small counseling session has been completed in one and half hour as per the plan. This time BSG has reached the school with all the copies of existing scholarships for higher education.

Teachers have also seen the details provided by volunteer and thanked for reaching the school for providing such a valid information to upcoming students. And the students were also very sincere in listening to all the information provided by the volunteer and received clarifications for their queries for opportunities. The event has been completed on time and the volunteer has left the school after thanking the HM and the teachers.

BSG-GC-Y2014-CGE-03-DT14FEB: ZPHS Jaligoan, Gajwel Mandal, Medak District.

 Last year when we conducted CG workshop by inviting 12 high schools of Gajwel mandal, this school teachers did not attend due to some reasons. Hence BSG has decided to conduct CG event in this school to complete the coverage of all high schools of Gajwel mandal. Hence on 14th Feb, I visited the school to

conduct CG event from 2 PM to 3 PM. As per the plan I visited the school 10 minutes before scheduled time and the teachers have arranged and announced the students about the event. I have completed the event by explaining the details on higher education and available scholarships, then I distributed the career charts to students and also handed 5 'SAMACHARA DEEPIKA' booklets to teachers to use as library booklets. With this event, in this educational year, we have covered all high schools under Gajwel mandal.

BSG-GC-Y2014-CGE-02-DT01FEB: ZPHS Shankarampet, Medak District

 During the journey with ZPHS Madoor HM (Nagendar Reddy Sir), I came to know that he is in charge of seven schools in Shankarampet mandal to inspect the performance of the schools regularly. And he questioned whether I can conduct the event at Shankarampet mandal high school in the after noon or not.

 BSG is looking for expanding as many possible schools and it was a good time to conduct there too. I accepted to conduct the event just after questioning. On the same day (1st Feb), he was required to inspect ZPHS Shankarampet high school. Hence he informed the school HM about the event and requested to give 1 hour time.

 The Shankarampet high school HM has showed interest and accepted to give time. Hence, after having lunch at ZPHS Madoor, I went to ZPHS Shankarampet by 2 PM. There I was introduced to teachers, then they arranged for event by 2:30 PM and requested me to finish the event by 3:30 PM. The 10th class strength of the school is 155 students.

 As per the given time, I have completed the event in one hour by providing higher education & scholarships related information. Then with a small counseling session, I finished it at 3:30 PM. Since it was not pre planned, I was not able to provide the material to students.

 But I promised the students and teachers that I would be sending the career charts and books through ZPHS Madoor HM. Then I returned to ZPHS Madoor with HM. After school hours, I returned to hyderabad along with HM in train. This is the second successful event of year 2014, BSG Gajwel chapter.

BSG-GC-Y2014-CGE-01-DT01FEB: ZPHS Madoor, Shankarampet Mandal, Medak District

I started from Kachiguda railway station at 7:30 AM along with ZPHS Madoor HM (D. Nagendar Reddy Sir). We reached the school at 9:50 AM. Then the HM has introduced me to all school teachers & I have explained the motto of BSG and about the event. Teachers have gathered 10th class students at a place by 10:30 AM and allowed me to start the event with a small introduction about me & the BORN TO SERVE GROUP.
 I have explained the students about the career opportunities available after 10th class, courses details, colleges & universities related details by showing consolidated chart in a banner. The first hour went for explaining those details. Next hour as per plan, initially thought of conducting test, but instead of conducting test, I felt that it is better to

 give some counseling to students since they lagging in questioning, listening, not able to express their queries etc. The counseling went another one hour. Then I have closed the event by thanking all teachers. After the event I have distributed the career charts to each student and handed over 10 'NIRMAAN SAMACHARA DEEPIKA' books to keep them as library materiel for students future reference.
Teachers and students were quite impressed with the event and thanked me for providing valuable information. During lunch break, few students met me for getting answers to their queries. With this event I have successfully completed BSG 2014 year's first career guidance event.

Career Guidance Event #7: ZPHS Rangaipalle, Toopran Mandal, Medak Dt..

I (Sathish Kumar Ganga) reached ZPHS Rangaipalle, school at 10AM on 21st december 2013. I received warm welcome by Bhaskar Sir (H.M. of the School). There were about 53 students in the 10th class in which only 50 studens were present in the class. I started the career guidance session as below:

1. Asking what are the career aspirations of students and noting them down on the board.

2. How to achieve each of the aspired career goal by distributing booklets and explaining each of the goal achievement process.

3. Motivation session by giving some real time examples.

4. Educational Opportunities after 10th as per 'Samachara Deepika'.

5. explaining career chart banner.

6. finalizing the session by explaining important things from 'samachara deepika' and toll free number.

over all the session went well. I have given 5 booklets to the school for reference so that students can use them as library booklets. And I promised the students that we will be sending career charts for each student. I ended the session with explaining the importance of career guidance information how to contact BSG in future..

Career Guidance Event #6: ZPHS Burugupally, Gajwel Mandal, Medak Dt..

I(Madhusudhan Talakokkula) reached ZPHS Burugupally, school at 2pm on 21st december 2013. I received warm welcome by Mallesham Sir (H.M. of the School). There were about 42 students in the 10th class in which only 39 studens were present in the class. I started the career guidance session as below:

1. Asking what are the career aspirations of students and noting them down on the board.

2. How to achieve each of the aspired career goal by distributing booklets and explaining each of the goal achievement process.

3. Motivation session by giving some real time examples.

4. Educational Opportunities after 10th as per 'Samachara Deepika'.

over all the session went well. i distributed total of 20 booklets to students 1 booklet for 2 students, so that they can share with each other.

The career guidance event has been conducted by Born to Serve Group in association with NIRMAAN organization in Gajwel Mandal at Laxman Garden by inviting all ZPHS school Head masters and two teachers from each school. Career Guidance Event#5 - Gajwel Chapter - Mandal Level Career Guidance Workshop for All Z.P. High School Teachers on 23 Nov 2013

Objective:
To train School staff, Head Master along with two teachers from each High School about Goal setting, Higher Education, Employment Opportunities and available Scholarships. Inturn trained teachers are expected to bring awareness among 10th class students by spending 30mins a week for a period of approx 2 months

Event Execution:
Total of 23 teachers from different ZP High schools and 9 volunteers from Nirmaan Vidya Helpline / BSG attended the event. The representatives from 11 schools are present for the event though there are heavy rains and other official Rachabanda programmes through out the mandal. Power Point presentation on career guidance for 10th class students and goal setting video is presented by Nirmaan VHL volunteers followed by Tea/samosa break.  The event was well executed for 2hours presentation and 45mins questioning session from teachers to counselor on different areas. During the event every schools is provided with Training kit containing Career Chart Flexi Banner + student survey forms + posters + VHL toll free number stickers+ samachara deepika booklets. In the end of workshop, several Teachers endorsed the programme and extended their support to any programme Nirmaan/BSG is going to conduct in Gajwel. The Teachers who endorsed the event are UTF district president Satyanarayana sir, Sunitha Madam (zphs pregnapur HM), Laxmana Swamy Sir (Rtd..HM), Maruthi Reddy Sir(Rtd..HM).

Career Guidance Event#4 - Gajwel Chapter - ZPHS Thirumalapur (Doultabad Mandal) on 23 Nov 2013

Nirmaan and BSG volunteers Nagesh, Ramsrinivas, Kishore Bitla Reached ZPHS Thirumalapur around 11 AM and started career guidance session for 10th and 9th standard students in the school. The session is continued for almost 2hours by explaining the higher education opportunities and employment opportunities. Senior counselors from nirmaan also explained the scholarship opportunities for the students.

                Along with this career guidance flexi banner and career charts also provided to Shakil Sir (Maths teacher of the School). After the program feedback is collected from the staff and students. Each and every student is given with the 'Samachara Deepika' (36 pages career guidance booklet) from Nirmaan vidya help line along with toll free number so that students can call us for doubts and concerns in future.

Career Guidance Event#3 - Gajwel Chapter - ZPHS Mubharaspur(Doultabad Mandal) on 23 Nov 2013

Nirmaan and BSG volunteers Manoj, Prashanth, Rajeshwar Kalvakuntla, Madhusudhan Talakokkula, and Thonduru Bhrahma Reddy Reached ZPHS Mubharaspur around 10.45 AM and started career guidance session for 10th and 9th standard students in the school which total strengh of 9th + 10th is around 70. The session is continued for almost 2hours by explaining the higher education opportunites and employment opportunities. Senior counselors from nirmaan also explained the scholarship oppotunities for the students.

                Along with this career guidance flexi banner and career charts also provided to Bhaskar sir(H.M of ZPHS mubharaspur). After the program feedback is collected from the staff and students. School staff Sriram sir (maths teacher) and Bhaskar sir (H.M) arranged the lunch for the volunteers who is going to organize Mandal level career guidance workshop in gajwel post lunch session... Each and every student is given with the 'Samachara Deepika' (36 pages career guidance booklet) from Nirmaan vidya help line along with toll free number so that students can call us for doubts and concerns in future.
