Srisailam was coordinating the events at N0:1 Hostel, more than 25 Volunteers have turned up to conduct the events, they include students from Technical Society,Vikarabad, earlier BSBC students, Murali & Co(who conducted eye camp on Jan3rd ).
The program started with Flag hoisting, Hostel Warden Mallapa Sir took unfurled the national flag. After which Chief guest for the event, Vijaya Laksmi Garu gave her note,-her speech touched the importance of the day, formation of constitution and efforts put by Dr. Ambedkar in designing the constitution by meticulous study of all the other constitutions and tailoring it to suite to the Indian system and to fulfill its needs.
After which she appealed to the students that after such a hard won freedom and having a great guidelines, it is time for us to step up and act upon the great work.
Filled with examples of Arjuna, Ekalaya and how a person can achieve great things with greater levels of concentration, the talk was inspiring not only to the students but to the volunteers who attended the event.
After the speech there an elocution competition was held, many of them showed great enthusiasm in participation, this by itself is an achievement as to the first day when 2 to 3 students would come up to talk on to the dias. Prizes were distributed to the students who got 1st , 2nd in the BSBC exam that was conducted on Jan 3rd and students getting 1st, 2nd and 3 rd prizes in elocution. By this time, students were proactively coming up and showcased their talents, while some of them sang patriotic songs, few of them danced to the latest numbers. Everyone who participated in the event had feeling that great memories which will cherish longer.
