Individual counts.. But, Synergy Doubles........... BSG proved it today
On 20th Aug'2011, we presented a career guidance session at Sree Saraswati Vidyalaya Jr Collage - Vikarabad. Event went fabulous. This was one of the best events I personally attended. The sessions we gave, the response from the students, the treatment from the collage management, everything were exceptional. Thanks to everyone who are directly or indirectly involved in making the event a memorable one. Here is how the event went on :
We reached SSV Jr collage at 11 AM. We made all the arrangements with the help of the collage staff in half an hour. Skimmed the slides once and made ourselves ready.
Also, Santosh made his time to attend our event as a part the BSG Staff. We had our lunch at the Collage brought by the collage management. Later, all the students were asked to assemble in a classroom (CEC Telugu medium classroom is the largest classroom to accumulate more people).
Chief Guest Dr Veeraiah Sir. Principal, SAP Arts and Science collage, Vikarabad has arrived at 2 PM. We were all invited onto the stage along with Veeraiah Sir and were asked to take a seat on the stage welcoming with garlands.
He started the event with a pooja litting the light in front of the Saraswati maata Idol in the classroom
Collage management introduced us to the students mentioning the purpose of the event in brief
Dr Veeraiah sir delivered an inspirational speech to the students asking them to choose the subject of their interest and not to follow others blindly. It was a great lecture which went on for 15 mins. Later, Sir was in an urgency to attend an another meeting. So, Sir had to leave.
The event is then taken over by BSGians. Started with Kalyan talking some inspirational words with the students explaining about the importance of the education in the current era. Kalyan introduced the topics we are planning to cover for the day, the importance of knowing about the higher education for intermediate students.
Higher education topics were started by Satish talking about the Science. It was truly informative, interactive. This addressed all the questions that a common MPC, BiPC guys have in their career. Satish has given a realistic examples of all the topics that he covered. Students really enjoyed the topics.
Later came Commerce. Given by the commerce King, Advocate, Santosh Kumar. This was one of the idealistic demos I have ever attended. He covered a wide variety of careers that a Commerce guy can get into. Truely informative, students asked too many questions, Santosh addressed each of them with true patience. He is the biggest asset for the day. We would like to listen to more of such sessions from Santosh.
Now, it was Amar's turn to discuss about the Arts and Humanities topic with the students. Amar has all the qualities of a best lecturer. He has the real sense of humour to create realistic examples whenever needed. I can say, this is the session where students enjoyed to the maximum. He has given the examples with the topics that grabs the student's attention. Great work Amar.
Jai explained about the Job opportunities an Arts and humanities guy can have. In addition, Jai has concluded the pupose of the event with an excellent vote of thanks at the end. Students became emotional with Jai's words and I am pretty sure, most of them got inspired. Jai, All the credit to you.
Pavan has done a great help in organizing the things, Slide co-ordination and making the required arrangements. He was the catalyst for the day to make everything happen as per the plan.
Kalyan got into the anchor's shoe for the day. He added value to the event with his inspirational statements, explanation and adding the humor in the required places. He made the sessions interactive posing the questions and trying to get the answers from the students.
Later, there was a questionnaire for 20 minutes where so many students came to the BSBCians with questions and we were able to clear them. Students noted down the contact numbers of the BSBCians for any further clarifications.
The day ended when Chandramouli sir took the charge again and thanked BSBC for the event. He has given few examples of his students who succeeded in life and requested all the students to work hard and taste the fruits of success.
It was a team work at last that won the day. I would take the opportunity to thank everyone from the BSG-LT team. Despite of the last minute changes, we were able to collect the required data to present the students. We put an extra effort in limited time and came up with enough number of things a student can expect.
I am extending my thanks again to Balraj, Rajasekhar and Vijju for your efficient effort in gathering the data. Special thanks to Srisailam for providing all the required amenities that made our life easier. Srisailam, without your support, it would have never hit the our target. Thanks to everyone.
